The mission of Dharma Yoga Satsansanga is to guide people on the path of self realization through traditional methods of yoga and meditation attuned to their particular needs. We teach all levels of classic Hatha Yoga, including pranayama and Kundalini Yoga. Kundalini Yoga is meant for intermediate and advanced students of yoga who are dedicated to the spiritual path and aiming at liberation from bondage. It requires steadiness in the practices of Hatha Yoga, meditation, and right conduct. We tailor our teachings to the needs of each individual. We conduct classes for individuals and small groups, both in person and online. We combine our yoga instruction with meditation that draws on Advaita, Bhakti, and Buddhist teachings, with emphasis on the teachings of Self inquiry (Atma Vichara) as taught by the sage Ramana Maharshi.

Practices (sadhanas) taught at Yoga Dharma Satsangha include:

1. Body purification: Sat-kriyas

2. Body posture: Asanas

3. Breathing exercises: Pranayamas, Mudras

4. Meditations:

            Dharana (concentration and mantra practice)

            Dhyana (concentration and mindfulness practice)

            Atma-vichara (self-inquiry)

5. Samadhi: absorption/realization
