Tantra Yoga

Tantra means woven or intertwined, and Tantra Yoga practice invokes the interconnectedness of the subtle energy system of the human body within the macrocosm. This energy system includes the Chakras, energy centers that are related to different functions of the body and mind, and the Nadis, intricate energy pathways that run through the body and through which the vital energies stream. Work with body’s energy system purifies the mind rapidly, and enables the practitioner to enter into deep states of meditation. One of the main elements of Tantra Yoga is the work with Kundalini energy, a powerful energy that is situated in the base Chakra (Muladhara). Through different yoga exercises the energy is aroused and channeled to activate and purify the Chakras and Nadis, with the aim to bring the practitioner into state of Self-realization (Atma Sidhi). Tantra yoga has particular meditation techniques that complement this energy work. In Tantra, the practice with the energy system profoundly deepens meditation practice.
