Bhakti Yoga
Bhakti means devotion, and the Bhakti Yoga path is the path of the heart. Bhakti Yogis practice devotion to God, the ultimate dimension, that brings them to a state of unity with supreme consciousness. The Bhakta sees all the world as a manifestation of the divine, and relates to the world and all sentient beings as the divine itself: thus, serving the world is serving God. Traditional Bhakti practices include Kirtan and Bhajans (devotional singing), repetition of divine names (Mantra Japa), Puja (rituals), prayer, and meditation. The path of Bhakti Yoga complements all other forms of yoga and helps to develop the right spiritual attitude.
Karma Yoga
Karma means action, and Karma Yoga aims to serve the world selflessly through action. Karma and Bhakti Yoga are usually practiced together, where the practitioner serves the world selflessly because they see God in everything. Karma Yoga is also often integrated with other Yoga systems. Karma and Bhakti yogis/yoginis develop their spiritual faculties, which enable them to bring more happiness and understanding into the world.
